Newbie Vdyut Jammwal has inspired several youngsters to take up martial arts. The actor even trains many of them in his free time. One such fan from Rajasthan who has joined the armed forces, recently expressed his gratitude via social networking.
His message to Vidyut on his Facebook page read, “Hey brother, how are you? I would like to say because of you I am soon gonna join Indian armed forces as para commando. Thanks bro. Wishing you bright future.”
Says a source close to Vidyut, “After Commando, Vidyut got several fan mails but one note he received recently on Facebook felt very special. A fan from Rajasthan wrote to him that he was so inspired by Vidyut’s performance as a commando that he enrolled in a programme that trains entrants to become part of the army and the special para commando regiment. It is a 10-month long training regime and only after clearing every level, does one stand a chance for the final selection process. The fan’s effort has borne fruit and he has been selected to be part of the para commando force.
That’s called love and dedication.
Celebs push the vote buttons
In keeping with the mood of the nations, several Bollywood stars who were in the country, cast their vote in Mumbai. They also posted selfies with their inked fingers. Shah Rukh Khan was among the first few celebrities to go out and vote. Farhan Akhtar flew all the way from Dubai to vote in Mumbai. His sister, Zoya Akhtar also got inked. A lot of B-town couples went out to vote together like Kiran Rao and Aamir Khan as well as the Bachchan family. Vidya Balan, Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Sonam Kapoor, John Abraham were among the many others who cast their votes. The stars urged the citizens to go out and vote, on Twitter. But despite the glam factor, voter turnout in Mumbai halted at a mere 53 per cent.
