Summary

The kind of technology used in ‘Kochadaiiyaan’, has been used in Hollywood blockbuster films like ‘Avatar’.

Superstar Rajinikanth, whose next film ‘Kochadaiiyaan’ is set to take 3D films a step further in India, with its ground-breaking photo-realistic motion capture technology, says that he is not all tech-savvy.

This kind of technology, a first in an India film, has been used in Hollywood blockbuster films like ‘Avatar’.

“I had come here (Mumbai) for ‘Robot’ which was one of its kind film. And now after four and a half years we are here for ‘Kochadaiiyaan’ which is a highly technology-oriented film. I don’t know anything about technology but I am put in these films…it is like God’s plan. It is challenging but a nice experience,” Rajinikanth, 63, told reporters.

The film takes audience on a musical adventure journey through larger than life battle sequences, intricate period detail and real life actors modelled in the animated world of
historic India.

The film stars Rajinikanth in a triple role and Bollywood’s leading lady Deepika Padukone among a host of other acclaimed actors.

He praised daughter-director Soundarya for all her work and effort on the film, which will release in six languages this summer.

“I am very happy and proud that everybody is praising her and are proud of her. As a child she was fascinated with Amar Chitra, kept reading it and wanted a picture on this. I wish and hope people like this film,” Rajinikanth said.
